# KeePass

KeePass Password Safe is a free and open source software for managing passwords.

# Installation

## Installing KeepPass 

KeePass has compatible applications across Linux,Mac,Windows,Android, and iOS. See the [full list](https://keepass.info/download.html) for more.

### Windows Install

To install KeePass on Windows, use [the installer](https://sourceforge.net/projects/keepass/files/KeePass%202.x/2.58/KeePass-2.58-Setup.exe/download). Follow the instructions presented in the installation wizard.

### Android Install 

[Keepass2Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=keepass2android.keepass2android) is recommended for working with on your Android device. If this does not work, consult the full list page for an alternative.

# Storing the Database File

Most people need access to their passwords across devices. During this section we will find a method for ensuring the .kdbx file is shared and modifiable from one device to the next.

If you have an Android phone and use Keepass2Android, there is integration with Google Drive. This would allow you to sync across.
